Introduction - Who Am I?

 Hi everyone!! 

My name is Kailey Shaffer, and I am currently 20 years old. I am currently a full time college student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have loved kids my whole life and I can't wait to encourage them to learn and watch them grow as individuals. College is also an adventure in itself, but life is a journey always. In college, I have been knocked down more times that I can count. I have experienced a lot of ups and A LOT of downs, but I persevered through it all. I experienced finding a group of friends that I thought were going to be my life-long friends, but at the end of the day, they were there to simply teach me a lesson. During the second semester of my freshman year of college, I met my absolute best friend and she has stuck with me since day 1. Through all of the trials and tribulations that I have been through thus far during my college experience, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I needed the experience in order for me to grow, but during times like this, it was harder for me to love myself or build my self esteem/self confidence. 

Everyone is on their own life journey, wether it would be with their career or self love or just learning more about themselves. I feel like it is extremely important to learn to accept others and meet them where they are, because you never know what someone is going through. We need to encourage others to grow and learn as we go, and it is always important to remember that no one is perfect. Everyone is still learning, and no one is going to have it all figured out as soon as they begin. It is a learning process, and we all need to understand that for the sake of each other. 

I hope you follow along with me on this journey towards self love and self confidence. I can't wait to share with you all of the things I am learning and the journey that I am on myself. I want to share with you the things that I'm doing and how I am helping myself through the things life puts me through.
